Utilities

This is the utilities section. All new building code will require for these utilities installation, and configuration. This will apply to any renovation, or new constructions. While the price of buildings will be higher, the establishment will be safer, easier, and more efficient. All utilities must meet to some form of code when it comes to buildings.

Any multi-unit buildings must have separate utilities for any utilty that the owner expects the tenant to pay for. The charges for the common space can not be passed to another tenant. In example, if electricity is not included in a 2 unit building, then there must be 3 electric meters. One for each unit + one for the common space such as hallways, any elevator, and if there is a common laundry room. Any property owner passing the charges of the common space to the tenant can be fined by the Department of Housing, and might have to pay the tenant for the assumpted cost of the utility that the tenant paid for.
