Any building with more than 5 floors (including basement levels) will be required by law to have at least 1 elevator. If there is only one elevator, and that elevator goes down, there must be immediate attempts to repair it as quickly as possible. All elevators will have a SIP control panel in the elevator room. This panel will have the credentials, and the number to call. Since RJ11 lines are no longer supported, the connection is RJ45 instead. The owner is required to make sure there is sufficient internet connectivity (1MBPS+) for calls from the elevator. The telephone number of the company managing the elevator must also be provided for the rider to see if there was an elevator down.
